Are you a good candidate for the RF microneedling treatment?

Microneedling is not only meant for the face and can also be used on your chest and neck to correct skin tone and texture. However, you may require a few treatment sessions to reach optimal results.
How many sessions will you require?
Once we evaluate the severity of your skin issues, we will explain the number of treatment sessions required. When you suffer from mild to moderate acne scarring, you may require 3 to 4 sessions. However, if you have stretch marks, deeper scars and skin sagging, you may require 6 to 8 treatment sessions for correction. Your treatments must be scheduled 10 to 14 days apart and you can get maintenance treatments every 6 to 12 months.
What is the procedure like?
Even though most patients do not feel any pain during the microneedling procedure, a topical anesthetic is applied 15 minutes before your procedure to deal with any possible discomfort. Your appointment will usually last for about an hour and the severity of your procedure depends on the depth of penetration. This is decided depending on your requirements and cosmetic goals. We may choose superficial treatment (just below the surface of your skin) in case you require minimizing of pore size and skin rejuvenation; the mid-level penetration is used in case of mild scars, sun damage, pigmentation and improvement in skin texture; and deepest penetration is used when you have moderate to severe acne, scars, stretch marks and require skin tightening.
A small device with fine needles is used to puncture your skin and it triggers your body to heal these micro wounds. This, in turn, leads to the production of elastin and collagen. You may experience some swelling and redness from the procedure and the appearance is that of a sunburn the next day.
