For the face, this peel targets hyperpigmentation issues such as melasma, uneven skin tone, acne scars, sunspots, and age spots. These are common concerns that affect a wide range of patients. Fortunately, the Cosmelan Peel is safe for adults of nearly all ages and ethnicities. It is a powerful, targeted treatment that offers both immediate and long-term results. Known for its remarkable ability to reduce pigmentation and lower melanin production, the Cosmelan Peel restores the skin’s natural radiance, resulting in a more even and brighter complexion.

For intimate areas, pigmentation or dark patches, though often harmless, can impact your confidence. Hyperpigmentation in the intimate region can stem from hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy, and menopause – but even tight-fitting clothing and waxing can cause pigmentation in this area. Known as Dermamelan Intimate, this treatment comes from the same manufacturer as the Cosmelan de-pigmentation peel for the face. It can be applied to both female and male genital areas. Dermamelan Intimate combines an in-office peel with a home-care regimen, significantly improving the appearance of areas such as the external vaginal region, anus, mons pubis, inner thighs, and groin. This treatment is non-invasive, gentle, and effective.

The Cosmelan Peel is a multi-phase process that includes both an in-office treatment and a home-care regimen, ensuring comprehensive and lasting results.

Perfect Peel

The Perfect Peel, also known as The Perfect Derma Peel  is a revolutionary skin peel that combines prescription-strength results with a manageable home care process. The Perfect Peel® application is performed at BioSpa® by our licensed skincare specialists. As part of the peel, you will be given home care products and instructions. Then wait for skin perfection to emerge!

For most patients, about three days after your Perfect Peel® application is when peeling will begin in earnest. You don’t want to try and pick at or pull at your skin (that can cause scarring). Instead, just sit back and let your beautiful skin emerge on its terms. Thin sheets of outer skin will peel back, revealing younger, healthier skin below.

The peeling part of the Perfect Peel® takes about 5-7 days. During this time, you’ll use the home care products you’ve been given as directed by our skincare experts to manage your peel properly. At the end of the peel, our patients report improvements to skin tone, texture, pigmentation, and overall sheen. Many patients also see a reduction in acne and fine lines and wrinkles.

SkinMedica® Peels

SkinMedica® Illuminize

This peel exfoliates dead skin cells, giving skin a quick glow without any peeling or downtime. It is ideal for those who want something more invasive than a facial but cannot have the downtime of peeling.

SkinMedica® Vitalize

This peel also exfoliates skin, resulting in a brighter, healthier appearance. Two days post peel the skin starts to shed from the chin up to the forehead, which lasts up to 2-3 days. After this, fresh skin will be revealed.

SkinMedica® Rejuvenize

The strongest of the three SkinMedica peels, it is ideal for those who have had other peels and are now seeing less shedding of dead skin when other chemical peels are performed. Peeling may last up to four days to reveal a glowing complexion.

ZO® Peels

ZO® 3-Step Peel

This peel option is ideal for correction of fine lines, large pores, uneven pigmentation, scars, and sun damage. It promotes softer, smoother skin. Formulated by Dr. Zein Obagi, these proprietary solutions stimulate the growth of healthy skin cells and quickly shed away damaged skin layers. Dramatic improvements are noticeable after a single treatment, although individual results may vary. A series of three peels spaced out every 3-4 weeks is usually recommended for optimal results. 30-minute treatment time.

ZO® Controlled Depth

ZO® Controlled Depth Blue Peel uses trichloroacetic acid, or TCA 30%, to medically treat skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles, fine lines, skin pigmentation disorders, sun damage, and poor skin texture. Doctors Horowitz and Nichter frequently combine the Controlled Depth Blue Peel with their patented LiftLift™ facelift. Both can be done at the same time and allows the patient to go through just one healing process! Pre-conditioning skin with Environ products before treatment and a specific after-care protocol for up to 7 days will be necessary. Only one peel is generally needed, however in severe cases a second peel may be necessary and it’s important to note that individual results will vary. Chemical Peel Recovery

Following your chemical peel treatment, your skin will be temporarily more sensitive to the sun, so be sure to wear sunscreen every day. Temporary redness and pinkness may also occur. Depending on the level of your peel, recovery time will differ. For light and medium peels, downtime may be little to none, while deep peels often require more recovery time.
