How it Works
Normally, the nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises. This is how your body cools itself. However, for in people with Hyperhidrosis, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive.
Neuromodulators treat severe sweating by blocking the secretion of the chemical that activates sweat glands. During the procedure, we will inject about 50 units into each armpit. The more units that are injected, the longer the drying effects tend to last.
Because everyone breaks down neuromodulators differently, the duration of your results may vary. Typically, patients can enjoy results for about 3-6 months before more injections are needed.

There is no downtime required following Botox/Dysport injections for sweat elimination. However, you may be asked to schedule a follow-up appointment to check and touch-up and missed spots.
It typically takes between two and seven days for you to stop sweating in the treated area, and two weeks for total dryness.
