Sweat Elimination Treatments
- Botox can be used to reduce sweat in the underarms, hands, and feet by temporarily blocking the nerves that are responsible for stimulating sweat glands. Multiple treatments are needed (usually every 3-6 months) and it does not reduce odor. While some clinics use Botox for the underarms, we typically recommend Botox to target excess sweat in the hands and feet. miraDry cannot be used for the hands and feet.
- miraDry® is a non-invasive and quick way to control underarm sweating and odor through the use of a device that transmits energy to sweat glands. This treatment significantly and permanently reduces sweat and odor production. When sweat glands are destroyed, they do not grow back. miraDry can also be used for the groin area in off-label treatments that we perform as well.
